I bought 6 boxes of flooring and the stair nose. The grove in the stair nose is to small for the flooring to fit in. [...] I thought it would just fit. This piece of nose cost over $50.00.

Comments about 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 6.5 LFT White Oak Stair Nose:
I originally bought 2 x 6.5 lf of stair nosing when I ordered my 740 sq. ft. of flooring. What I received only had a 1/8" stair lip meaning it was cut out of 7/8" stock instead of the 1" to give a 1/4" lip. I thought it was weird when I first started using it but didn't know it was not correct until I needed to buy an additional 6.5 lf. Overall this difference did not impact my project but the salesman in Woburn, MA indicated that it only comes in one profile after I informed him that what he gave me was different from the original material that was delivered when I bought my flooring.
